SOPHIA PATSALIDES, JUNIOR AMBASSADOR FOR MAZI. – DEBBIE O’HARE – MEDIUM

14 year old Sophia Patsalides has been appointed Junior Ambassador for a Cyprus foundation for eating disorders, MAZI.

A press conference held at the University of Nicosia yesterday, Sophia was officially appointed.

Vine president of MAZI, Dr Eleni Andreou spoke about the ways Sophia and MAZI will contribute to society saying that “She is at the critical age of a teenager which age-wise fits the target group set to be addressed mostly by MAZI Foundation”

Sophia also performed her song ‘I pio omorfi mera’ which she will also be performing later this month in Malta for The Junior Eurovision Song Contest, where she will representing Cyprus.

Followed by a short speech where she expressed that “Difficulties and obstacles will always appear in our way…but they can all be solved, and as our song says, ‘‘don’t let anyone bring you down, standing tall you are a fighter, spread your wings and let the wind take you higher”.

The representatives of MAZI foundation wished Sophia the best with representing Cyprus at the 2014 Junior Eurovision, “Sophia you make us all proud, not only with your talent but with the ethos that characterizes your sweet presence”.
